Work Scope

This project consists of 41,200 LF of 12” steel pipe, all installed under pavement. There are 5 horizontal directional drills and 5 conventional jack and bores, as well as four railroad crossings. SEC’s execution plan called for the entire length of the project to be hydro excavated to the depth required for pipe installation. This method of pre–excavating ahead of the installation crews allows for easy identification of marked and un-marked underground utilities. This project required an extensive traffic control plan and daily coordination with representatives from the City of Rome, Georgia.
