Job title: Fleet Coordinator

Department: Fleet/Maintenance

Reports to: Director of Fleet

Job Purpose:

Coordinate and perform administrative, technical, and analytical tasks related to fleet asset management.  Service as an administrator of the fleet management system. Responsible for data integrity.  Collaborate with all levels in the organization to ensure daily implementation and compliance of fleet management system.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records for each asset including registrations, insurance, and safety inspections.
  • Ensure timely renewal of permits and licenses as required by FMCSA (DOT, MCS-150, UCR).
  • Process tag and title applications, including I-2290, IRP, Fleet Perm, PT trailer tags, replacement plates and annual renewals.
  • Prepare reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, fuel usage and other key metrics, where required.

  • Complete asset intake by assigning new asset numbers, keeping database of pictures and documents and setting maintenance schedule.
  • Oversee the asset management system and ensure its function and use in the field.
  • Manage all asset disposals and auctions with the contractual auction company.

 

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Required: Automated report programming using Microsoft Excel. Conducting trend/data analysis and providing reports. General fleet management.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of condition monitoring analysis. 
  • Functional / Technical Competency Requirements
  • Required: Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution. Excellent written and oral communication. Proficiency in using database technologies.
  • Preferred: 5+ years working with Microsoft Excel in intermediate data functions
